The IT Service Desk is the central point of contact for all IT related incidents and service requests. The role of the Desktop Support Technician is to provide first and second line support for all staff within the Authority. The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for resolving support requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands. IT Support staff work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which provides services over the phone, through e-mail, in person and self-service. Previous experience of working in an IT support role. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems as well as various software packages including Microsoft Office. Excellent IT skills and computer literacy. Previous Experience within a customer service role The job holder must have good operational management and customer service skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Good presentation and communication skills and strong interpersonal skills workers using IT systems and desk top computers. This is a first point of contact roll and further back up will be provided more complex IT issues Candidates should have previous experience in an IT support roll Please call RSD for further information
